Zeitstrom secures multimillion investment for expanding charging infrastructure at real estate properties
The provider for charging infrastructure, Zeitstrom, has secured a nine-figure million Euro sum for the rapid expansion of charging stations for electric cars. Investors include the European asset manager and project developer Zeitgeist, as well as a major institutional supplier. The company announced this ahead of Expro Real 2023. In the coming years, it aims to advance the mobility transition in the real estate sector with a unique model.
The provider takes on not only the planning and implementation but also the full investment and operating costs of the charging infrastructure. For property owners, this means they can equip their buildings for the e-mobile future without any capital expenditure. Thanks to the long-term strategy and strong capital base, the location partners have planning security. By 2030, there should be 15 million electric cars, currently there are over a million.
“We help real estate companies quickly build the necessary charging capacities to make their buildings more attractive and sustainable in accordance with ESG criteria,” explains Tom Sauer, CEO of Zeitstrom.
Uncertain electricity prices as well as the drastic interest rate developments have led the industry to make investments cautiously, Sauer further outlines. With the offer, they want to enable real estate companies to prepare for the future. The service integrates the charging stations into existing business processes and takes over the complete billing logistics – digitally and functionally. They see it as a long-term win-win model, which will be presented for the first time at EXPO REAL 2023 in Munich.
