The financial investor and full-service provider for charging infrastructure Zeitstrom and the charging infrastructure specialist Getec have entered into a strategic partnership and plan to install 10,000 charging stations by 2030. To meet the national and international decarbonization goals for the mobility sector, several million charging points need to be established in Germany by 2030. With its "Charging Infrastructure as a Service (CIaaS)" model, Zeitstrom aims to enable property owners to have charging stations without having to invest themselves. The service includes not only the investment but also the planning, installation, operation, billing, and long-term assurance of trouble-free operation.

Charging Infrastructure without Investment

Location partners from the real estate industry, hospitality, commerce, or municipal operations can fully focus on their own business with CIaaS and meet all legal, fleet, and customer requirements without using their own resources, advocates say. Getec, as a specialist in charging infrastructure, will ensure the energy supply and operation of this infrastructure and provide the complete service around it. From commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting to handling billing processes, the specialist will take care of the e-mobility infrastructure and its future users.

The provider refers to its long-standing experience in the technical operation of charging infrastructure, its competence in service and billing processes, as well as its expertise in accompanying and executing large rollout processes. GETEC relies on the backend of a European market leader for the management, control, and monitoring of charging infrastructure, which is supplemented by their own frontends and applications for the business case.

"We have ambitious goals: By 2030, we want to project, install, and operate more than 10,000 charging points. For this, we need strong strategic partners as investors. As Germany's leading system service provider for charging infrastructure, Getec is able to keep up with our pace while introducing its own innovations," says Tom Sauer, Managing Director of Zeitstrom GmbH.

Moritz Matthies, CEO of Getec mobility solutions GmbH (GMS), sees the partnership as a perfect complement, combining experience in sustainability and financing models with the rollout of many locations (AC & DC) across Germany, and possibly even Europe, in a short time and with high quality.
