Zeekr starts pre-sales in the Netherlands and Sweden
Now Zeekr is also starting in Europe – the brand, whose very first models were derived from Lynk&Co, is positioned sportier than Lynk&Co, similar to Polestar in relation to Volvo. The Shooting Brake 001 was already presented in China in 2021, while the X is new.
The Zeekr 001 starts in the Netherlands and Sweden from 59,490 euros, the Zeekr X from 44,990 euros gross. Both have a 200-kW motor. However, while the Zeekr X offers a range of up to 440 kilometers according to WLTP with a 69-kWh battery, the 001 has a 100-kWh battery for up to 620 kilometers WLTP range. In reality, one can expect to get around 300 kilometers plus or minus x in the X, and around 450 kilometers plus or minus x in the 001.
Deliveries are scheduled to start in the autumn of 2023, with initial branches set to open in Amsterdam and Stockholm. Further European countries and models are to “quickly” follow. By 2026, Zeekr aims to be present in most Western European countries.
What does that mean?
Geely is driving its expansion further: With Zeekr, (including Smart, which is 50 percent owned by Geely) they will have seven brands in play: Volvo, Polestar, Lynk&Co, Lotus, Smart, LEVC, and Zeekr. However, not all brands and models are (yet) available in all European markets, but either way, Geely is significantly strengthening its market power.
