Xpeng P7+: 30,000 orders in 108 minutes!

Even though Xpeng has been aiming long in Europe so far and has not yet shot into the EU sales records: According to the platform Weibo, the brand achieved a new pre-order record in China: Within 108 minutes, the new P7+ is said to have been pre-ordered 30,000 times! At times, more than 200 orders per second are said to have been received!

According to CVEV Post, Xpeng set the "financial hurdle" very low: Interested parties only had to pay a deposit of 99 RMB, which is less than 13 euros. Some Chinese might forgo this if they then decide not to place a binding order, but: Xpeng will even refund this amount!

Prices start in China below 30,000 euros!

Those who place a binding order will receive a further discount of 3,000 RMB, which is about 390 euros. This is deducted from the purchase price, which starts at 210,000 RMB in China, roughly 27,250 euros. For a large sedan! For comparison: Even the already cheaper Tesla Model 3 starts at just under 32,000 euros.

For this, you get a sedan over five meters long with 800-volt technology on board. A big step forward has also been made in the combination of AI functionalities and assistance systems for largely autonomous driving: While the sensors monitor the traffic situation, the P7+ learns the habits of the users and is intended to adjust the support accordingly.

The power consumption of the P7+ is said to be 11.6 kWh per 100 kilometers - probably according to the Chinese CLTC value. If you assume 15-17 kWh here, you are likely closer to reality.
