Westfalen Group: Charge company cars at home

The Westfalen Group aims to expand its services in the field of electromobility and support companies in better harnessing the potential of environmentally friendly mobility and equipping employees with electrically powered company vehicles.

For this reason, the Fleet@Home solution was created. This will allow the costs of company vehicles charged at home to be automatically reimbursed.

"With our fleet card, the Westfalen Service Card + eCharge, we offer companies and their employees access to a Europe-wide charging network," says Marc Fasel, Head of Electromobility at Westfalen, adding: "For even more comfort and flexibility, we have created a new billing solution for e-mobility with Fleet@Home."

An invitation link, provided by their company, is required to participate. After completing the registration, an employee can order a pre-configured wallbox that will be delivered to their home.

Once the installation is complete, the bank details and the private electricity price need to be entered and accepted by the company.

According to the company, the wallbox features an RFID card reader and a charging capacity of up to 22 kW. The card provided by Westfalen simply needs to be held against the reader.

"A big advantage is that employees can see precisely, down to the kilowatt-hour, the charging costs incurred for business purposes at the wallbox in an online portal," said Fasel.

Both employees and companies are relieved of the administrative burden of manual billing.

The Westfalen Group is also expanding its portfolio to include smart energy management solutions, which are also of interest for company fleets.
