Webfleet launches new EV Charger Monitoring Tool

Webfleet, one of the world's leading fleet management solutions and part of Bridgestone, is launching its new EV Charger Monitoring solution. The solution allows companies to keep an eye on their electric vehicles and company-owned charging stations on one platform, thus ensuring planning security and reliability of their own fleet without needing to use additional hardware.

Tool offers security and overview

As part of the new Webfleet service platform for electric vehicles, the solution integrates charging station data directly into the Webfleet fleet management platform. This tool not only simplifies the management of a company's electric vehicle fleet but also provides fleet managers with security and relevant insights to improve their charging strategy.

The solution offers fleet managers real-time updates on the availability, occupancy, and charging speed of all company-owned charging stations, as well as the distance of a vehicle to a specific charging station. This allows fleet managers to receive early notifications about potential charging problems that would impair a regulated fleet operation, enabling them to respond early and effectively.

The Webfleet dashboard not only shows them the status and relevant notifications about their fleet in real-time, but also provides them with important insights into energy costs, consumption, usage trends, and average charging time. In this way, companies constantly have their electric vehicle fleet's charging performance in view and can specifically improve their charging strategy.
