VW e-up! available for order again - as a top version starting from 27,000 euros

Success model is configurable again after the old orders have been processed. However, there is not much choice. The e-up! comes exclusively as an expensive Style "Plus" starting from 26,895 euros.

Volkswagen has restarted orders for the successful electric small car e-up!, but as previously speculated, only as the expensive top model Style Plus. The list price for the updated version is 26,895 euros including VAT and before deducting the environmental and innovation bonus of 9,570 euros. The e-up! has been sold more than 80,000 times worldwide to date and reached the second place in registrations of fully electric vehicles in Germany in 2021. As a result, delivery times had increased to up to 16 months. At the end of 2020, the manufacturer therefore temporarily stopped accepting orders. Production to process the order backlog continued into 2021. Consequently, the small electric vehicle ranked second among the most popular electric vehicles in Germany last year with around 30,800 deliveries across all brands.

Identical technology, lavish equipment

The Style "Plus," which can be ordered immediately and is significantly more expensive than the previous base model, features a 61 kW (83 PS) electric drive. Its maximum WLTP range is up to 258 kilometers. The technical package, including an e-synchronous motor with front-wheel drive and 210 Nm torque, remains identical, and the consumption of 12.7 kWh (combined) per 100 kilometers is expected to remain low. The model is standardly equipped with a CCS connection for fast charging, Lane Assist lane-keeping assistant, air conditioning, leather multifunction steering wheel, and 15-inch alloy wheels. Thanks to the small 32.2-kWh (net) battery, 60 minutes at a 40 kW DC charging power should be enough to recharge the battery to 80 percent. With alternating current, an 80 percent charge with a 7.2 kW power takes about four hours.
