Volvo/Polestar: Free HPC Charging at Irschenberg
In close collaboration, the two Swedish Geely subsidiaries Volvo Cars and Polestar have now opened their first own charging station. The temporarily designed "Powerstop" is conveniently located at a charging hub on the A8 near Irschenberg south of Munich, where Tesla and Allego are already present with fast chargers. In addition to the opportunity to charge vehicles of the brands even for free with up to 150 kW power and to take test drives, the manufacturers also offer a traditional "Fika" with coffee and cinnamon rolls. This is fitting, as the facility is located on the premises of the Dinzler coffee roastery. For the time being, the offer is expected to last until April.
The 78-kWh batteries of the Volvo C40 Recharge or the Polestar 2, for example, can be charged up to 80 percent in less than 40 minutes at the charging stations. A Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, which is now also available with front-wheel drive, is also available for test drives, as well as two coupé-style crossover Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric and three Polestar 2 with front-wheel and all-wheel drive offered in various engine configurations. Alternatively to booking on site, test drives can also be conveniently reserved from home.
