VM Survey: Naturally electric on vacation!

Crystal clear vote from our community: Nearly two-thirds would naturally take an electric car on vacation. And they even see advantages in the charging stops.

Dense network of charging points: In Scotland, there was no problem as the state network of Charge Place Scotland is densely woven like a tartan kilt. However, with a maximum of 50 kW, it is not the fastest. | Photo: J. Reichel

Would you go on vacation with an electric car? That was our question of the week. Based on our own experiences, rather positive in Scotland, quite negative in the USA, we were curious about the answer. The response was quite clear. With "Yes, why not. Especially on vacation, charging breaks are welcome - and the network in Germany and Western Europe is well developed," answered 60 percent (44 votes). 21 percent chose the middle ground: "It depends on the country: Yes in Western Europe, but rather not overseas or in Eastern Europe (15 votes). Only 19 percent expressed a decidedly negative opinion: "No, I have no patience to look for charging stations while on vacation and want to arrive quickly (14 votes). For us, this is a confirmation of the everyday and vacation suitability of electric cars, naturally without claiming to be representative.
