We - the team of VISION mobility - are participating in the Hypermotion trade fair in Frankfurt am Main. Here, editor-in-chief Gregor Soller will moderate three Think Tanks on November 20, 2017, where the topics "Connected Cars and Autonomous Driving," "Hypermodality and Mobility on Demand," and "Urban Mobility and Smart City" will be closely examined and discussed.
In Talk Round 1 on the topic "Connected Cars and Autonomous Driving," the introduction of the next steps concerning connectivity and further planning up to 2025 will be discussed. This will detail: How will infrastructure and other road users be integrated? What benefits does the user have and what dangers exist? Discussing this will be Dr. Tobias Miethaner from the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Dirk Reimelt from Daimler AG, and Dr. Michael Barillère-Scholz from Deutsche Bahn Connect GmbH.
Talk Round 2, with the theme "Hypermodality and Mobility on Demand," will illuminate the topic of traveling and transporting up to 2025. The focus will particularly be on the questions of how the roles of the actors will change and which tools will make mobility simpler and more reliable. It will explore who must provide which service and how it will be billed. Speaking on these topics will be Daniel Krauss from FlixMobility GmbH, Lukas Foljanty from moovel Group GmbH, and Andrew Han from New Motion Deutschland GmbH.
The Think Tanks will be rounded off with Talk Round 3 on the topic "Urban Mobility and Smart City." This discussion circle will address the questions of where urban mobility is already noticeably changing today and what specific ideas and developments both urban planners and start-ups are contributing. The focus here is on the necessary measures to save cities from the threatened traffic collapse. Commenting on these topics will be Prof. Dr. Uwe Clausen from the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics, Dr. Bernadette Weyland, State Secretary (CDU) and candidate for the office of Mayor of the City of Frankfurt am Main, and Dr. Harald Hempel from Dako GmbH.
Participation in the VISION mobility Think Tank is included in the ticket price for the Hypermotion trade fair.
