Virtual Commercial Vehicle Fair: Successful Premiere
Around 1,350 registered visitors were able to learn about innovations in the commercial vehicle and supplier industry, visit digital exhibition stands, and attend conferences from September 24 to October 8, 2020, on www.nfz-messe.com.
In the four online exhibition halls, well-known industry leaders presented themselves at 65 stands and were available for personal exchange via chat. Over 20 digital events took place on the virtual conference stage, where registered visitors could participate in online seminars or follow panel discussions and virtual conferences.
"With the virtual commercial vehicle fair, we have successfully enabled the exchange between providers and customers of the commercial vehicle and supplier industry. In a time without in-person fairs, it is important to showcase the industry's innovative strength through other means. This was only possible with the support of our partners from the commercial vehicle and supplier industry," said Rainer Langhammer, Managing Director of Münchner HUSS-VERLAG GmbH.
The virtual fair, which HUSS-VERLAG organized with its publications busplaner, LOGISTRA, PROFI Werkstatt, Transport, Unterwegs auf der Autobahn and VISION mobility, was able to showcase the industry's innovative strength even in the economically challenging situation of the pandemic.
"The IAA Commercial Vehicles stands for the world's leading platform for transport, logistics, and mobility. Unfortunately, this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to decide against holding the IAA. There was no option for the IAA in its usual form. All the more, we are looking forward to welcoming you back to the IAA Commercial Vehicles in 2022. It gives us confidence that in this very difficult and turbulent year 2020 for our society and industry, the 1st virtual commercial vehicle and supplier fair could successfully celebrate its premiere on the digital platform www.nfz-messe.com," said Hildegard Müller, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).
The exhibition areas of the virtual commercial vehicle fair included commercial vehicles, trailers and bodies, telematics, and IT. The focus was on digitization in the transport sector, increasing safety through driver assistance systems, and the development and use of more sustainable drive systems.
