Vestische: Mobile hydrogen fueling station by Everfuel under test
Contractually sealed: Vestische Straßenbahnen GmbH and the Danish provider of comprehensive solutions for hydrogen supply and refueling are launching a joint pilot project - the first five H2 buses, projected for the second half of 2023, which will strengthen the bus fleet of the public transport company in Herten, will be supplied with H2 via Everfiller, a "completely mobile hydrogen refueling solution" at the depot in Herten.
"The solution with the mobile hydrogen filling station from Everfuel is pragmatic and effective for Vestische. It greatly facilitates our entry into the development of our own H2 infrastructure," says Martin Schmidt, Managing Director of Vestische Straßenbahnen GmbH.
The Everfiller is a mobile hydrogen filling station, particularly suitable for refueling smaller vehicle fleets and for companies that do not yet consume the quantities of hydrogen a stationary H2 filling station provides. The first prototypes are expected to be operational in the second half of 2023, with commercial deployment of the patented technology planned for 2024.
"Incorporating the Everfiller into our offering provides a range of customers with more flexibility, as they can either opt for a stationary filling station, which allows for quick refueling at any time, or the flexible and cost-effective solution, the Everfiller," says Uffe Borup, CTO at Everfuel.
According to its own statements, Everfuel has noted great demand from operators working on decarbonizing mobility and wanting to test hydrogen as a fuel.
