The Swedish start-up Vässla has now also entered into a cooperation with Wolt: The recently created Vässla Bike, which combines features of a scooter, e-bike, and e-moped, is intended to serve as a time- and resource-efficient means of transportation for food couriers in Berlin. As part of the partnership, Wolt food couriers receive discounted access to the subscription service "Vässla Club for Delivery" designed for couriers and food delivery providers. The maintenance of the bikes is handled by the manufacturer.

The vehicle, which was presented at IAA Mobility 2021, is equipped with a mechanism that allows the rear wheel to fold forward. According to the manufacturer, this makes it easy to carry in a space-saving manner and facilitates switching to other modes of transportation. Already in early December 2021, the micro-mobility start-up launched its first cooperation with Uber Eats. According to Vässla-Germany CEO Hannes Ahbe, the collaboration with Wolt represents another milestone on the path to advancing the electrification of urban transport.

"We are pleased that Vässla is supporting us in further electrifying our delivery business in Germany," said Fabio Adlassnigg, Head of Communications at Wolt Germany.
