Valeo: 20 million front camera systems produced with Mobileye EyeQ technology

Valeo has produced the 20-millionth front camera system with Mobileye technology. This milestone was achieved just twelve months after reaching the mark of 10 million units. Up to 40,000 front cameras per day are manufactured at three production sites in Europe and China for twelve OEMs.

Valeo started its collaboration with Mobileye in 2015 and decided to integrate the Mobileye System-on-Chip (SoC) called “EyeQ” into the hardware and software of its front camera system. At the same time, the SoC was also integrated into Valeo's central computer and software.

Driver Assistance Technology: In about 90% of all new cars by 2030

The front camera system from Valeo supports important functions such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition. The French company expects that by 2030, about 90% of all new cars will be equipped with advanced driver assistance technology.
