With its car rental service UberX and its taxi mediation service UberTaxi, the platform provider Uber has been operating in the neighboring cities of Mainz and Wiesbaden since April 14, 2021. The company has been operating in nearby Frankfurt am Main since 2018. The new service in the state capitals of Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate will be expanded with additional car rental companies from the greater Wiesbaden and Mainz area. For UberTaxi, the company is cooperating with local taxi companies. More than 1,000 taxis nationwide are already using the Uber app. The UberGreen product is also to be added to the two mentioned offers. This term refers to rides with electrically powered vehicles.
