Toyota: Stronger in Fleet and Vans
Fleets are becoming increasingly important for Toyota: With 19,469 new commercial registrations from January to December 2021, the company has further expanded its position in the German fleet market, according to its own statements, surpassing the previous year's result by 15 percent. The market share is 2.5 percent.
The increase in customer orders was even greater according to Toyota: A total of around 40,000 contracts were generated last year, which is almost half as much more than in 2020. The specific business leasing is also increasingly attracting interest. In addition, Toyota has expanded its range of light commercial vehicles in recent years. In this area, the market share is likewise 2.5 percent.
What does this mean?
Fleet and commercial vehicles are topics that often play little to no role for Asian corporations in Europe. This is different with Toyota: Here, the business has been successfully expanded for years.
