The Smarter E 2023: EM-Power Award for Fenecon and The Mobility House
Premiere in Munich for the EM-Power Award, which goes to the companies FENECON with the FERESTO Rental Storage for peak load reduction and The Mobility House with the charging and energy management system ChargePilot. The international trade fair EM-Power represents energy management and interconnected energy solutions. Innovative technologies for the smart, needs-based distribution of energy are key to the success of a renewable, decentralized, and digital energy world, according to the international jury's rationale. Europe's largest energy industry platform The smarter E Europe, featuring the four trade fairs Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe, and EM-Power Europe, will take place from June 14 to 16 in Munich.
Fenecon Feresto Rental Storage: Flexibility for the Grid
The German company FENECON develops innovations for energy storage that make power grids more flexible, economical, and sustainable. The FERESTO Rental Storage is one of the first of its kind for commercial and industrial use, according to the jury. The innovative leasing model enables faster integration of large battery systems, which reduce peak loads in the grid, improve system stability, and lower the costs for grid expansion. The potential applications of the energy storage systems are diverse: as interim solutions for industrial areas not yet connected to the grid or for capacity expansion. The rental storage units can be used without investment risk with flexible rental periods from one day to 60 months and scalable capacities from 50 kilowatts to several megawatts. By using used EV batteries in the systems, FENECON's energy solutions are also resource-efficient and sustainable.
The Mobility House ChargePilot: Pioneer for Smart Charging
For almost 15 years, The Mobility House from Munich has been developing intelligent solutions for the new era of sustainable electromobility. With the award-winning innovation ChargePilot, the company offers a versatile and integrable energy management system for optimized charging, praised the jury. The hardware-independent platform is ideal for use in parking lots and office buildings, where it reduces peak loads and offers a cost-effective alternative to expanding the grid infrastructure. By combining hardware and software, electric vehicles can be predominantly charged with electricity from renewable sources; additionally, the vehicle-to-grid function helps stabilize the local power grid. ChargePilot was unanimously nominated by the jury this year due to its intuitive and expandable platform, reliable data protection, and proven economic and ecological benefits.
