The Mobility House & reev: Cooperation for integrated charging solutions
The charging software company reev and the e-mobility infrastructure specialist The Mobility House have agreed to integrate their systems, aiming to make the setup and operation of commercial charging infrastructure in fleet environments as simple and efficient as possible. In addition to its own energy management, reev now also offers its customers the ChargePilot charging and energy management system from The Mobility House. The Mobility House, as a hardware and software-independent full-service provider, integrates reev’s billing solution into its portfolio and distributes its software licenses for tailored, scalable charging solutions with billing functions. The close cooperation is meant to provide a simple, comprehensive, and future-proof solution that ranges from charging stations to full-service packages.
Open Interfaces as a Basis for the Ramp-up of E-Mobility
For the flawless operation of the combined systems, the companies rely on open and proven standards and interfaces. For example, the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is used to forward billing-relevant data from ChargePilot to the reev dashboard. The latter was specifically developed to meet the needs of semi-public charging, as promoted by the providers, in scenarios like companies, real estate, parking areas, or the hospitality industry. This allows for the management of multiple individual user groups, for which flexible tariffs can be defined. Billing and invoicing are fully automated, with all processes running in the background, the provider further outlines.
The drivers themselves have transparency over past and current charging sessions, as well as their bills and transactions, through the reev app for drivers. ChargePilot, in turn, takes over the intelligent and energy-efficient management of the charging sessions to make the best use of the existing network connection. Depending on the application, this can save up to 70 percent of infrastructure and network fees or an average of 250 euros per charging point per year, according to the partners. Thanks to the open interface architecture, the system should also be compatible with different AC and DC charging stations and enable the future integration of additional charging stations and modules.

Heiko Bayer, Chief Product Officer at TMH, also sees smooth setup and operation of energy and charging management, as well as the automated billing of charging sessions, as essential and refers to this as the "basis for a successful and cost-efficient fleet electrification."
