The most important innovation in the subtly facelifted Model 3 is likely the slightly increased range: The Standard Range Plus model with rear motor and small battery is now supposed to achieve 430 kilometers, up from 409 kilometers previously. In the Long Range model with a large battery and two electric motors, the range increases from 560 to 580 kilometers according to WLTP. In the Performance version, the range rises to 567 kilometers.

The new wheels are visually noticeable, now more resembling those of the Model Y and called "Überturbine" in the Performance model. Additionally, the previous chrome details – such as on the exterior mirrors, side camera, or window frames – are now matte black, as in the Model Y.

Inside, the previously piano black and grease-sensitive finish has been replaced with matte surfaces. Additionally, there are now two inductive charging trays for smartphones in the center console. There is also more comfort: All Model 3s now come with an electrically opening tailgate and double glazing. However, a heat pump, which could subtly increase the range, especially in the cold season, is not yet onboard.

The prices remained practically identical: They start at just under 37,000 euros net for the Short Range +, while the Long Range continues to cost just under 45,000 euros. The Performance dropped to exactly 50,000 euros net (previously over 53,000 euros net).

What does that mean?

The Model 3, like the Model S and Y, is only subtly refined, which has not happened so far. It remains to be seen what will be left of the small range additions in practice and whether the quality has also improved.
