Terberg electrifies terminal tractors

Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH presents its EV generation at LogiMAT 2022 (May 31 to June 2, Messe Stuttgart). Since 2013, Terberg has been producing fully electric terminal tractors. At LogiMAT, the third generation—the terminal tractor “YT203-EV”—is now being presented. Terminal tractors are primarily used in ports and logistics to move semi-trailers. According to Terberg, these areas are increasingly focusing on zero-emission operation in all aspects. Terberg's new EV tractor technology offers, according to the company, “significant performance improvements, increased range, and controlled battery temperature management that enables use in both cold and warm climates.” Moreover, the performance of the electric motor is on par with that of a diesel engine and generates no CO2 and NOx emissions at the site of operation.

Vehicles and Infrastructure

High-performance vehicles require a high-performance infrastructure that prioritizes safety, according to Terberg. To achieve this, Terberg was able to secure ABB, a provider of fast-charging stations, as a contract partner and is presenting the high-performance charger "Terra 53" at its booth at the LogiMAT.

As a co-exhibitor, Terberg is pleased to welcome Fernride as a partner for the future of automated driving at its stand this year. The Munich-based company has developed a technology that combines the abilities of human drivers with autonomous vehicle technologies, driving the automation of logistics forward. Additionally, Terberg Kinglifter will also be represented as a co-exhibitor this year.
