To develop, build, and operate large-scale projects in the field of photovoltaics and energy storage throughout their entire lifecycle, Tauber Solar has established an independent subsidiary. The newly founded company, operating under the name Tauber Energy GmbH and based in Tauberbischofsheim with development offices in Frankfurt and Würzburg, represents a strategic alliance between two partners with extensive experience in the energy sector.
Tethys Impact Energy GmbH finances
The Tauber Solar Group – a pioneer in the planning, construction, and operation of rooftop and open-space photovoltaic systems in Germany, Spain, and Sub-Saharan Africa – has gained considerable experience in the development and implementation of energy storage projects over the past two years as an already established player in the large storage sector. Partner Tethys Impact Energy GmbH from Friedrichshafen invests in the energy transition and supports companies in their sustainable growth.
“Having been involved in photovoltaics for almost 25 years, it has become increasingly important for us in recent years to engage with energy storage – on the one hand as a supplement to PV systems and charging systems in the commercial and industrial sectors and on the other hand in the field of standalone large storage,” explains Arne Weinig, managing partner of Tauber Solar, and emphasizes: “Organizing into a new separate company allows us to build flexible structures that focus on the relatively new area of the energy transition – particularly on large storage.”
Plan: Portfolio of at least 1 GW
In the next three years, Tauber Energy plans to build a portfolio of at least 1 GW of projects, covering various aspects of the value chain. In the medium term, the company aims to act as an established partner for renewable generation and storage facilities in selected energy markets in Europe.
