Odin entered into a partnership with the delivery company GoFor to distribute StreetScooter vehicles in the USA and Canada starting from the second quarter of 2022. GoFor is offered a comprehensive solution for electric deliveries, and Americans are given priority in production capacities. For Odin, the agreement includes a binding preemptive right to provide certain electric vehicles for GoFor's delivery service.

GoFor becomes a Fleet-As-A-Service provider

This makes GoFor one of the first Fleet-As-A-Service providers in North America. The GoFor network is expected to include more than 10,000 independent drivers and GoFor franchise fleet owners. The decision for the StreetScooter was influenced by the Post: GoFor chose Odin "because the series has proven itself on the road over the last seven years with more than 20,000 electric delivery vehicles, and because the company offers a comprehensive range of electrification services." Ian Gardner, CEO of GoFor, explains:

"This partnership brings together two pioneers in the field of sustainable last-mile delivery."

The deal starts promisingly for Odin: It kicks off with a batch of up to 3,266 vehicles planned until the end of 2023. Production under the new Odin management began in February 2022.

What does this mean?

Basically, the StreetScooter comes with good fundamentals – what has been lacking so far was an international focus and model maintenance. If the former brings volume, the latter should also be successful.
