TotalEnergies and Stellantis have jointly announced the extension of their partnership for the next five years. The cooperation, which previously covered the brands Peugeot, Citroën, and DS Automobiles, will now also include the brands Opel and Vauxhall. According to a press release published by Total, the global cooperation agreement will now cover five key areas:

  • Enhanced collaboration in research and development with shared goals in new mobility forms, low-carbon or bio-based fuels, lubricants, and fluids. Products will be optimized specifically for new electrified engines and their components, including batteries.
  • “First-fill” lubricants: Supply of lubricants from TotalEnergies for vehicles manufactured in the plants of the five involved Stellantis brands worldwide.
  • Exclusive recommendation of Quartz lubricants in the customer service and workshop network of the brands Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Opel, and Vauxhall. Authorized repair specialists have access to TotalEnergies' high-tech motor oils, specifically developed for the engines of these five vehicle brands, guaranteeing performance, reliability, and fuel savings.
  • There will also be a technical and sporting cooperation in motorsports, which will focus exclusively on the various electric and hybrid programs of the brands in the future.
  • A new aspect of the partnership is mobility and charging. Free2Move will use TotalEnergies' network of charging stations for their car-sharing activities in Paris. Other proposals to facilitate electric mobility will also be examined.

Alexis Vovk, President Marketing & Services at TotalEnergies, emphasizes that it is proud of the renewed trust – particularly because the collaboration will also include electromobility and the lubricant supply for the Opel and Vauxhall brands in the future.

“This expanded partnership also reflects our shared desire to make electromobility accessible to everyone. By doing so, we place our expertise at the service of our respective commitments to tackling the climate challenge.”

Thierry Koskas, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Stellantis, adds:

“The advanced lubricant technologies and co-developments introduced with high-performance batteries will represent significant technological advancements in our business and mobility offerings of tomorrow, for our everyday customers and for our motorsport business.”
