Stellantis & Sixt celebrate 30,000th rental car with Lancia Ypsilon Electric

Anniversary with symbolic value: The 30,000th car that Stellantis delivers to Sixt is a Lancia Ypsilon, which, as the brand's first all-electric vehicle, is also meant to usher in its renaissance. Cooperation partners see themselves as on track with the plan that encompasses 250,000 vehicles for the next three years.

The Stellantis Group and the mobility service provider and rental company Sixt have celebrated the successful launch of their partnership with the delivery of the 30,000th vehicle. The vehicle in question was the new Lancia Ypsilon as an electric vehicle. Following their agreement announced in January 2024, worth several billion euros, both companies have reached a significant initial milestone. 50 models from nine brands were delivered, ranging from city cars to SUVs and a wide variety of powertrains, including fully electric vehicles. Thanks to the cooperation, Sixt aims to acquire up to 250,000 vehicles for its rental fleet in Europe and North America over the next three years. The already achieved delivery volume underscores that they are on track, according to the providers.

Customers who have so far chosen a Stellantis vehicle have generally been satisfied with their rental experience, according to the interim report. Overall, customers have already covered more than 300 million kilometers in Stellantis vehicles since the beginning of 2024. Furthermore, many would consider purchasing the vehicle models they rented after a rental period.

“Our long-term partnership with SIXT makes an important contribution to our mission to offer clean, safe and affordable mobility,” explains Uwe Hochgeschurtz, Stellantis Chief Operating Officer in the Enlarged Europe region.
