Spedition Bode adds Iveco S-Way NP to its fleet

Since 2019, the shipping company has been operating with the Iveco Stralis NP. Now, by using the Iveco S-Way NP with LNG drive, they aim to cause even fewer CO₂ emissions. Refueling the two 540-liter tanks, which can hold 390 kilograms of liquefied natural gas, is set to begin in December at the company's own LNG fueling station, according to reports. The company believes that bio-natural gas will become increasingly available in Germany in the future. The 460 HP truck achieves a range of 1,600 kilometers with this tank filling, while simultaneously saving up to 95 percent CO₂ emissions.

“Iveco is a clear pioneer in gas vehicles, as is clearly shown by the consumption and thus the range. Our drivers were already impressed with the performance of the Stralis NP, but the S-Way NP sets the bar significantly higher in terms of space and comfort in the cabin,” says Managing Director Kai-Jörg Bode.

The Active Space cabin from Iveco with a standing height of 2.15 meters has been equipped with additional features for Bode Spedition. The interior features, in addition to a fully automatic air conditioning system including stationary air conditioning and heating, a three-stage cooling and heating function for temperature control. For the further comfort of drivers, there is, among other things, the multifunction leather steering wheel and the Hi-Comfort leather seats, sun blinds on the side windows, a refrigerator, an infotainment system including a TVBT television, and not to forget, a cozy bed. Preparations for auxiliary drives and a telematics system are also part of Bode's individual equipment.

According to their own information, the forwarding company from Schleswig-Holstein has been committed to environmental protection and reducing pollutants for years. To achieve this, they offer their employees training for fuel-efficient driving and use their own photovoltaic system as well as alternative drive technologies.
