From 11:45 am to 1:15 pm, the focus will be on the freight transport of the future – climate goals and cost pressures as challenges for the industry. The EU, along with Germany, has set ambitious climate goals. Not only city logistics, but also long-distance freight transport will need to adapt to economic and ecological changes. The editorial team of "Transport" will discuss the following questions with the present experts: How can transport companies be more efficient in terms of CO2 emissions and costs over long distances? What propulsion technology can companies rely on? Are new business models an opportunity? What role will connectivity and intermodal transport play?

Participating in the discussion are Ludwig Meyer-Managing Director Matthias Strehl, Prof. Dr. Dirk Engelhardt, CEO of the Federal Association of Goods Transport, Logistics and Disposal (BGL), Norbert Salomon, Head of Department at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Mario Männlein, Product Expert Natural Power of Iveco Magirus AG.

The other two sessions of the HUSS-VERLAG will address the topics of AI in the supply chain and start-ups in logistics and transport. They are organized and moderated by the publications LOGISTIK HEUTE and LOGISTRA.

From 9:30 am to 11:00 am, the question of why artificial intelligence will change supply chain management in the future will be addressed. It will focus on learning machines and intelligent chains. The market for products and applications with artificial intelligence is growing worldwide. AI has also made its way into production and logistics. The experts will discuss, among others, the following questions: In which areas of supply chain management is AI no longer science fiction, but already science fact? In which areas could AI significantly improve processes in the future? What are the limits and risks of using AI?

From 2:45 pm to 4:15 pm, the moderators and speakers will provide information on how start-ups are revolutionizing logistics and transport – and why this is not the apocalypse. They want to highlight the opportunities and risks of new digital platforms for freight forwarders and shippers. Companies that can translate digital ideas into technologies and new business models have an edge over others. Even in logistics and transport, start-ups often lead the way in digital matters. Are newcomers a threat that conventional market players should fear? Or can established transport and logistics providers learn something from the young companies? And what could their own digital business model look like?

Around the LDC! from November 20 to 22, 2018, the mobility and logistics scene will meet at Hypermotion in Frankfurt to discuss and develop forward-looking ideas and solutions at the exhibition, eight conferences, the Hypermotion Lab, and three VISION Mobility Think Tanks. For Bert Brandenburg, Managing Director of HUSS-VERLAG, "Hypermotion is three days of innovation, inspiration and networking."

The event is under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and the state of Hesse, represented by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional Development (HMWEVL). Additionally, Hypermotion is supported by all major German traffic and mobility associations.
