Ford is also accelerating electrification and is showcasing the production-ready version of the all-electric E-Transit for the first time at the Solutrans 2021 trade show in Lyon. This model is scheduled to hit the market in 2022. Notable about this model is the space-saving rear-wheel electric drive, which is being used for the first time in the large-series E-van segment and is also supposed to be very efficient. The targeted electric range is 317 kilometers in the WLTP cycle with a 68-kWh lithium-ion battery. At first glance, however, the high loading edge was noticeable, which is due to the underfloor-mounted battery and the rear-wheel drive, making entry from the side and rear more difficult.

Charging is available in two modes: In AC mode, the van is expected to be fully charged within eight hours, while a 115-kW onboard charger is available for DC fast charging, which can charge the batteries from 15 to 80 percent in 34 minutes. Additionally, Ford offers two power levels for the electric rear axle drive at 135 and 185 kW (max. 430 Nm).

Another feature is the 2.3 kW socket in the cabin and cargo area. The Ford Pro Charge division is intended to help customers with charging infrastructure issues. The payload is up to 1,758 kilos, and in addition to the classic 3.5-ton version, a 4.25-ton variant is also available. The E-van comes in up to 25 different configurations, from panel vans to chassis, to double cabs of varying lengths and heights. Inside, the E-Transit presents a modern appearance with customized and fully integrated electric drive instruments and the latest Sync-4 infotainment system with a large touchscreen.

Moreover, the manufacturer showcased edition models of its recently launched heavy trucks from Ford Trucks and Otosan Motor from Turkey, as well as, for the first time, the Caddy brother Tourneo Connect adapted by its partner Volkswagen, which initially comes as a combi, and later as a panel van.
