The Bochum-based start-up company Sevic, a 100% subsidiary of the Jost Group, presented its portfolio of light electric commercial vehicles in Lyon and now aims to roll out the program in Germany. The goal is to provide a cost-effective entry into electromobility, as a spokesperson at the booth explained. This is the case, for instance, with their central product, the Sevic V500 platform transporter of the L7E class, which is promised to be priced significantly lower than competitors like StreetScooter. A fully equipped box vehicle, for example, is listed starting at about 21,000 euros net. The V500 is an adaptation of the American Tropos light electric transporter Able, whose distribution in Europe will also be handled by Sevic. Additionally, the car transporter and logistics provider Mosolf markets the vehicle with minor modifications and onboard digital technology.
Sevic also offers the Able as a pick-up and refrigerated box model. Another adaptation is the E-Trike with tilting technology from the Chinese provider Rap, which will be available with a small 1.4-cubic-meter exchangeable box body. There will also be a flatbed, a platform chassis, or a Frigo variant. The portfolio also includes a three-wheeled, multifunctional e-scooter and a foldable micro electric vehicle. The service for the vehicles is to be handled through the network of the Jost Group, as it was further mentioned.
