Renault Fleet: Michael Borner succeeds Carsten Schopf

Michael Borner (60) is an expert in the field: Since July 2017, he has been heading the Light Commercial Vehicles division of Renault Deutschland AG as Director of Light Commercial Vehicles and member of the Executive Committee. Borner has been working for Renault in Germany in various executive positions since 1988. After starting in the market research department, he held various positions in the Sales and Marketing departments and took on the role of Fleet Director once before - in 2007. From September 2010 to January 2014, Borner was Chief Sales Officer of Renault Deutschland AG. From February 2014 to June 2017, Borner was once again responsible as Fleet Director for the corporate and commercial customer business.

Carsten Schopf (47) had been working as Fleet Director and member of the Executive Committee for Renault Deutschland since July 2017. His career began in 2002 at Enterprise Rent-A-Car Deutschland GmbH. In 2006, he moved to Toyota Deutschland, where Schopf worked as District Manager for dealer and commercial sales and then as Manager of Residual Value, Used Car, and Remarketing. From 2014 to 2017, Carsten Schopf was Head of B2B Sales for Peugeot Deutschland GmbH, responsible for Peugeot's corporate passenger car, commercial vehicle, and used car business in Germany. Carsten Schopf left Renault Deutschland AG on his own accord to seek new professional challenges.

What does this mean?

With Borner, an "old hand" and a "Renault veteran" returns to the fleet business – but this time apparently only temporarily.
