Power2Drive 2024: XCharge introduces slim HPC charger C7 Slim and buffer system

XCharge Europe celebrated the premiere of the new C7 Slim charging station at Power2Drive Europe in Munich (June 19-21). Additionally, they introduced two more products, the C7 Ultra-fast DC Charger and the battery-supported Net Zero Series, which are already in use in many countries across Europe. Despite the current slump in electric vehicle sales, the company sees a good order situation due to the high foundational need for fast-charging infrastructure, as mentioned at the booth.

The manufacturer, now headquartered in Hamburg with manufacturing and development localized in China, has developed the C7 Slim, a compact charging station that can charge two vehicles simultaneously and quickly. With a depth of 46.7 cm, it requires only a small footprint of 0.37 m². The station offers up to 240 kW of charging power and is an economical option for charging point operators. If two vehicles use the station simultaneously, the charging power is flexibly distributed in 40 kW increments, ensuring optimal charging speed on both sides through dynamic power allocation, the provider advertises.

The solution is particularly suitable for locations where space is limited and there is a high demand for fast charging solutions. This includes, for example, public parking lots in front of supermarkets and bus depots. Due to the small footprint, charging point operators hardly need to restructure the parking areas for the installation of the charging station on site, thereby preserving valuable parking spaces.
