The Hamburg green electricity provider LichtBlick has announced a new service through its eMobility division at the Power2Drive exhibition in Munich, which aims to make it easier for companies to implement fast-charging infrastructure. The Building Electromobility Infrastructure Act (GEIG), which has been in place for around three years, regulates the nationwide expansion of charging infrastructure for residential and non-residential buildings (new buildings and some existing ones). This legislation is intended to support the installation of private and (semi-)public charging options, which are gaining relevance with the increasing number of electric vehicle registrations, outlines the provider.

For large companies with their own properties, there are now legal charging requirements that must be met. A lack of expertise regarding the investment and operating costs of charging points, as well as their utilization rates, often causes uncertainties. This is where the new "High Power Charging as a Service" offering comes in: The company from Kitzingen will cover the cost of installing and operating Alpitronic fast-charging stations in the LichtBlick design, with up to 300 kilowatts of charging power. Companies and employees will receive a reduced charging price. With sufficient utilization, companies will also benefit from individualized profit-sharing.

"With our new offering, we significantly increase the economic attractiveness of fast-charging points for our customers while minimizing risks. Additionally, we are actively driving the widespread expansion of charging infrastructure," says Sebastian Ewert, Managing Director of LichtBlick eMobility.

Companies with their own medium-voltage transformers and electric company vehicles can now learn about the new offer. The prerequisite for this: parking spaces must be at least temporarily publicly accessible after the fast charging points are put into operation.

"Only then can we make a difference for the energy and mobility transition together with our customers and maximize the benefit of fast charging stations," Ewert concluded.
