Power2Drive 2024: Kostal Group launches software brand vaylens for management and marketing of charging infrastructure

The Kostal Group is expanding its offering with the vaylens brand to include a software division for the management and marketing of charging infrastructure. It will be presented during Power2Drive 2024 until June 21, 2024, at stand B6.410. vaylens follows in the footsteps of Compleo Charging Software, but operates hardware-independently and across manufacturers. The focus is expanded from the DACH region to all of Europe.

At the core of vaylens' business activities is the provision of software solutions that simplify the operation of charging infrastructures and make the billing of charging processes efficient. The sister company Compleo Charging Solutions GmbH focuses on the hardware business for optimizing charging technology within the Kostal Group. According to its own statements, the company was the first provider to realize plug-and-charge hardware-independently on the market with its onboard chargers (OBC) and has now equipped over 4.5 million vehicles with OBCs.

Applications in public and semi-public areas

vaylens aims to focus on applications in public and semi-public areas. The goal is to provide charge point operators (CPO) with user-friendly and scalable solutions that are easy to manage. The company enables CPOs to make their charging stations easily accessible to all electric vehicle drivers with minimal effort. In the semi-public sector, vaylens wants to introduce products that make charging at workplaces, for vehicle fleets, and in multi-family homes efficient.
