ChargePoint, a specialist in connected charging solutions for electric vehicles, has announced a series of updates and enhancements to its be.ENERGISED platform. This is a European software program for the management of charging networks and solutions as well as large-scale electromobility services. It combines services for CPOs (Charge Point Operators) and eMSPs (eMobility Service Providers), including VAT processing, automated invoicing, and streamlining financial operations for multinational customers. The network includes over 85,000 charging points and 30 million charging sessions per month. More than 900 charging station models from over 100 manufacturers are managed. The software is intended to cover every step of the charging process and promises high flexibility and modularity for all use cases, according to the provider.

The electric vehicle charging infrastructure is evolving from the early "Greenfield" projects to today's "Brownfield" environment, where existing investments in charging hardware must be future-proofed alongside the implementation of new infrastructure. Although new charging stations are constantly being put into operation, it is necessary to ensure that older hardware continues to function just as well to maintain a reliable network, the provider explains.

"New market requirements demand advanced charging management platforms with innovative features for the future,” advertises Andreas Blin, Director for Service Provision at ChargePoint.

New features, offers, and extensions include:

  • The first payment terminal that meets the new OCPI v2.2.1 Direct Payment Module industry standards and is aligned with the recently introduced AFIR.
  • eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) can use the solution's roaming network to provide selected access to more than 750,000 stations across Europe. Charge Point Operators (CPOs) can make their stations accessible to the public and all drivers of major eMSPs through COMMUNITY roaming agreements with just a few clicks.
  • Additionally, the CP6000 – ChargePoint's most flexible and maintenance-friendly global AC charging solution – is now available on the platform. The CP6000 is designed for scalability, flexibility, and reliability, offering AC charging for single or three-phase power with a customizable output of 3.7 to 22 kW per connection.
  • Since acquiring be.ENERGISED three years ago, ChargePoint has continuously maintained and developed the product to secure market leadership while delivering tailored solutions for large international customers. It sees itself as the most flexible and comprehensive platform on the market, designed for "Charging 2.0".
