Porsche Mission E also in Playmobil film

Even Playmobil's secret agent Rex Dasher is switching to e-mobility: The concept study "Mission E" is the model for the first purely electric Porsche, the Taycan, which will be unveiled in September. In the movie, the character of secret agent Rex Dasher drives a white Mission E. The German premiere will take place on August 4 in Munich. The movie will be released nationwide on August 29.

It is the first film project by Porsche and Playmobil, who have been developing playsets together and collaborating in marketing since 2014. The successful cooperation is now being crowned with a feature film. Along with the matching playset, the companies are also presenting the first remote-controlled Porsche by Playmobil.

The Playmobil movie is about a girl named Marla who must bring her little brother Charlie back home after he disappears into an animated Playmobil universe. On her journey through new worlds, Marla meets very different companions: a food truck owner, a robot, a fairy, and Rex Dasher. The secret agent drives his Porsche Mission E, an electric sports car with extraordinary features. Together, they overcome great challenges and realize that they can achieve anything if they just believe in themselves. The director is Lino DiSalvo, who is also known for blockbusters like "Frozen."


 

The Porsche Museum will show "PLAYMOBIL: THE MOVIE" on August 10 and 11 at 11 AM and 3 PM as part of the Porsche4Kids summer holiday program. There will also be an autograph session and the opportunity to meet the mascots Rex Dasher and Tom Targa. The holiday program runs from August 3 to 25 and is aimed at children aged five to fourteen. It includes, among other things, various play stations and a Playmobil photo workshop.

What does this mean?

Porsche is targeting its marketing at young people – together with Playmobil. And since the toy manufacturer shows great attention to detail here, Playmobil can also potentially win some "Porsche customers" for itself.
