Polestar 2 Home Test Drive: Electric Vehicle Free Curbside Concierge
The electric brand Polestar is pulling out all the stops to bring potential customers into contact with their cars. Recently, they offered test drives in the snowy Austrian ski resort Montafon to showcase the optional all-wheel drive, and perhaps less so to highlight the longer charging times and significantly reduced ranges in cold weather. It's likely to be more about driving than charging when a "Polestar Specialist" rings the doorbell and takes a seat in the passenger seat or in the rear after an online appointment is made soon.
Potential customers should be able to test the vehicle on familiar routes. However, this is not available across the board, but currently only in Cologne, Frankfurt, and Munich, and soon in Karlsruhe. The new service, called "Home Test Drive," is intended to complement the 13 permanent "Test Drive Hubs," which have also been set up in smaller cities and, in turn, are meant to complement the 9 Polestar Spaces in city centers. By the way, the "Home Test Drive" doesn't have to start at the place of residence; it can also begin at the workplace or any other agreed location. So, for example, one could also meet at their great-aunt's place.
