The international Charge Point Operator (CPO) Electra presented the new charging station Electraline at the Paris Motor Show. In just a few years, the company claims to have become one of the leading providers of fast charging stations for electric vehicles in Europe. It now operates in nine countries and offers more than 350 charging stations. By 2030, there should already be 2,200 stations. A team of over 45 technicians is working on providing a pleasant charging experience.

A modular concept

The new charging stations are designed to offer a high level of comfort and recognition value, making them so pleasant to use that they invite customers to charge. To achieve this, rest areas and shaded zones have been set up, and the use of natural materials like wood aims to create a pleasant atmosphere. The LED display should be easy to read and operate, while also providing entertainment during the charging process. Two additional totems complement the station, making availability visible from afar, displaying prices, and informing users and passersby near the charger about nearby services, news from Electra, partner promotions, prices, and more. Customers can simultaneously use the infrastructure as seating.

The Electraline in Practice

With light signals, the station is supposed to guide each step of the charging process. The reserved spot is displayed at the time of booking, optionally with the user's first name. After starting the charging process, the station shows the progress in real-time via a bar that is visible both up close and from a distance. Integrated speakers provide instructions and feedback throughout the entire charging process. The safety at the station is also ensured by integrated surveillance cameras and lighting. For an entertaining charging time, Electra offers games on the app and the station's LED screen, which users can play alone or with others – on average about 20 minutes. The first available game is "Rock-Paper-Scissors," where kW/h can be won, which are eventually deducted from the bill, the provider continues to outline.

Four Station Sizes for Every Environment

The new Electraline is available in four sizes S, S+, M, and L.M and L are equipped with built-in seating.S+ and L feature a roof that protects users from the sun and weather.
