The Citroën Ami is celebrating its fourth birthday this year. At its market launch in 2020, it was a big surprise that sparked astonishment and curiosity. This electric mobility solution has become a true social phenomenon, having already convinced more than 65,000 customers and causing quite a stir in the urban and especially suburban automotive landscape. The French believe that the Ami has reinvented the world of four-wheeled electric vehicles. Moreover, it is affordable, can be driven from the age of 14 in some countries, does not require a driver's license (in Germany, a Class AM license is required from the age of 15), is safe, weather-protected, suitable for two people, and easy to handle. With a speed of up to 45 km/h and a range of 75 km, it largely meets the needs of micromobility. Additionally, it can be charged at a regular power outlet.

The Ami is celebrating two world premieres at the Paris Motor Show, including a preview of the next generation set to hit the market in 2025. The design features a modified front end, maintaining its simple yet playful look. As a tribute to its famous historical predecessor, the 2CV, trim strips are attached to its fenders to mark the bodywork. The new Ami sports the new Night Sepia paint, which was introduced last April. Based on this version, the designers have created a new, adventurous variant. The resulting concept, the Ami Buggy Vision, is described by the manufacturer as characterful, cheerful, and dedicated to water sports activities. A special highlight at the Paris Salon is the display of various versions of the Ami (My Ami Peps, My Ami for All, and My Ami Rose Festival) in a tower. This is prominently visible and invites visitors to the stand.
