Opel Rocks Electric: Lease from 79 euros per month or buy from 8,340 euros

The Opel Rocks Electric is already drivable from 79 euros per month with a new leasing offer – including for teenagers from 15 years old. It includes a mileage of 5,000 km per year over a 36-month term. And for those who want to completely own the electric starter with space for two, it can be purchased at an entry price of 8,340 euros, including 350 euros transfer costs and VAT.

Leasing Example

This is how an example mileage leasing offer from Stellantis Bank for the Opel Rocks Electric with a 6 kW electric motor and automatic electric drive including fixed gear ratio may look: Special leasing payment of 750 euros; term 36 months; monthly leasing rate 79 euros. At the end of the contract, additional and fewer kilometers (a free limit of 2,500 km each) as well as any potential existing damages will be settled.

Driver's License Class AM Requirement

The Opel Rocks Electric can be driven with a Class AM driver's license from the age of 15. This applies to light quadricycles with a nominal continuous power or usable power of no more than 6 kW, each with no more than two seats and a top speed determined by design of no more than 45 km/h.

"With the Opel Rocks Electric, we are making youths from 15 years old mobile – at prices that young drivers can afford. For just 79 euros a month, they can start off in the city and surroundings with two seats on four wheels and a standard panoramic glass roof," says Opel Germany brand chief Patrick Dinger.

Practical Details

The small Opel offers a range of up to 75 km, which can be covered at speeds of up to 45 km/h. The Rocks Electric can be charged afterwards via any normal household socket. With a turning circle of 7.20 m, the 2.41 m short and 1.39 m wide Rocks Electric is predestined for tight curves and small parking spaces. The passenger door swings forward, while the driver’s door swings backward.

In the interior, the Rocks Electric is also tailored to the needs of the younger generation. Easy-to-reach controls and clear, easy-to-read displays focus the design on the essentials. A smartphone holder positioned on the center console with USB connection and connectivity via DAT dongle ensures networking and offers access to the optional “myOpel” service app, among other things.

Another practical feature will be added shortly: Soon Rocks Electric drivers will be able to connect their smartphone via Bluetooth using the separately attachable “Rocks Switch” on the steering wheel. With “MyRocks Play,” drivers can listen to their favorite music, use their preferred navigation system, and make phone calls without taking their eyes off the road. The “Rocks Switch” will be optionally available for all model variants.
