As part of the sustainable habitat concept "Our Bad Hindelang 2030", two electric buses have been in operation since early December last year in the areas of Hindelang, Bad Oberdorf, Vorderhindelang, and Hinterstein, as well as Oberjoch and Unterjoch, transporting passengers without a fixed schedule or route either to the next bus connection or directly to their destination. Around 1,000 passengers used the climate-friendly public transport option by the end of the Christmas holidays.

The spa community aims to curb individual traffic, especially by tourists, and significantly reduce air pollution, noise pollution, and the precarious parking situation with the demand-oriented mobility offer. The project will initially run for two years and costs the community 300,000 euros annually.

Emmi-Mobile can be ordered via app

Emmi-Mobil is the name of the new service - via app, either a Mercedes-Benz eVito Tourer or a Citroën ë-SpaceTourer Electric can be ordered. The electric Mercedes with room for up to nine passengers has a range of over 400 km with its 90 kWh battery. The Citroën ë-SpaceTourer in the small version with a 50 kWh battery can drive up to 225 km on a single charge and also has nine seats.

In winter, the on-demand electric vehicles operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and in summer from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. For holders of the Bad Hindelang guest or Plus citizen card, the ride is free of charge. Otherwise, the fare in Emmi-Mobil depends on the length of the booked route - the basis is the kilometer-based Mona tariff for the southern Oberallgäu. In addition, there is a surcharge of €1.00 per ride for adults.

The transport of wheelchairs, walkers, and similar mobility aids or strollers is limited, provided they can be folded and stored in the trunk. Each Emmi-Mobile is equipped with one child seat and one booster seat, and in winter, skis and snowboards can be transported in limited numbers on an externally mounted ski rack.
