Nio ET5 also available as a station wagon

That's why we have a good feeling about the Nio ET5, especially if it were offered as a station wagon or shooting brake.

The start of deliveries in China is expected as early as July 2023 – Europe will likely follow, as the Nordics, UK, and Germany are considered station wagon nations. The registration application with the MIIT usually happens several months before the planned sales start in China – which in this case would match the information indicating a July launch.

In terms of dimensions, the ET5 Shooting Brake is likely to correspond closely to the sedan – since Nio only modifies the vehicle's roof area from the B-pillar onwards. Chinese media, citing MIIT data, report dimensions of 4.79 meters in length, 1.96 meters in width, 1.50 meters in height, and a wheelbase of 2.89 meters.

This makes the ET5 a few centimeters smaller in almost all dimensions compared to the 4.97-meter long Zeekr 001, which, according to CN EV Post, is currently the "most well-known shooting brake model in China." In the hope that other brands will "jump on" the trend.
