Shell subsidiary SBRS GmbH, together with Zech Bau, will plan and construct the exclusive e-bus depot for BVG on Säntisstraße in the south of Berlin following a tender. This includes the construction of all buildings, parking spaces, and associated charging infrastructure. The construction measures are scheduled to take place from 2025 to 2027.

209 Charging Points for Overnight Charging

About one-third of the order involves the turnkey planning of a customized charging infrastructure. A total of 209 charging points with a capacity of up to 150 kW for overnight charging will be installed at the depot, with the e-buses to be charged via pantograph. Additionally, there will be nine ultra-fast charging stations with a capacity of up to 450 kW, a transfer station, twelve inverter stations, and nine charging masts at the vehicle parking spots. The optional use of double-decker buses will also be supported.

Furthermore, the depot will receive an administration building, a workshop hall, and a service hall including technical equipment, an underground garage, and additional parking areas.

“With our turnkey e-depot solutions, we provide BVG with comprehensive infrastructure for electromobility at the new depot on Säntisstraße,” says SBRS Managing Director Andreas Stahl.

Rich Experience

SBRS GmbH has already supplied e-depot solutions for more than 50 large e-mobility infrastructure projects, including Europe's largest charging infrastructure project in the e-truck segment with the company Contargo at 14 German tri-modal container terminals.
