Mobility as a service has a future – especially in the B2B sector, where a flexible organization, and thereby cost- and CO2-saving mobility, will be more important than ever. This is exactly what 1st Mobility takes care of by enabling companies to set up a tailored and modern mobility program for their employees. For this purpose, 1st Mobility has developed an IT solution - the mobility configurator - that combines mobility and other comprehensive offers for employees. In doing so, 1st Mobility acts as a mobility enabler, connecting companies with their mobility providers through a sophisticated IT platform. Thilo von Ulmenstein, Managing Director of 1st Mobility, explains:

“Companies that set up a new mobility program face a significant level of complexity, as mobility needs vary depending on the area of responsibility, office location, personal situation of the employees, etc."

He adds:

"Our goal is to enable as many companies as possible to establish a tailored and modern mobility program for their employees. Therefore, we fully support the open and joint approach of the MaaS Alliance and look forward to contributing to these goals".

Piia Karjalainen, Secretary General of the MaaS Alliance, also welcomes the new member from Switzerland:

"We are delighted that 1st Mobility has joined our global cooperation. MaaS is all about personal choices; 1st Mobility offers a unique service where companies can offer their employees personal and diverse mobility needs through tailored and modern mobility packages. It is an excellent example of how companies can adopt a more flexible approach that benefits all stakeholders involved."

What does it mean?

One can assume that “MaaS” could become the new fleet and mobility management. 1st Mobility from Switzerland is driving this forward with vigor and is now also joining the MaaS Alliance, where mobility providers like 1st Mobility find like-minded companies.
