Mini John Cooper Works E: Premiere in Goodwood

The most powerful Mini Cooper SE currently delivers 160 kW – in old currency 218 hp – a lot for a small electric vehicle, but not quite "wow" yet. The combustion engine has 150 kW (204 hp). So, there's still room for improvement. That's why Mini is stepping up again: The new John Cooper Works E Prototype will conquer the legendary Hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year before the first all-electric John Cooper Works model celebrates its world premiere in the fall of 2024. We expect 250+ hp, hardly any more consumption, so the WLTP range of up to 396 km – realistically more like 250 give or take – should hardly shrink. The battery will remain at the 54 kWh package.

The future John Cooper Works model range will include both gasoline and all-electric models. In homage to Mini's historic victory of the Mini Cooper S at the Monte Carlo Rally 60 years ago in 1964, the race car will bear camouflage designed by the MINI Design Team, along with the "37" logo, commemorating this significant event. This emblem serves as a tribute to Mini's motorsport tradition.
