Miles launches in Stuttgart: Waiving the parking fee as the right signal
The independent carsharing provider Miles has now expanded its operating area to Stuttgart. From now on, users can access around 150 vehicles in the capital of Baden-Württemberg, including electric vehicles of the type VW ID.3. More vehicles will follow within the next few weeks. The offering is a station-independent (free-floating) one, where the vehicles can be rented and parked anywhere within the business area.
"The new advanced regulation in Stuttgart has prompted us to launch our service here. Carsharing providers have been exempt from parking fees since this year. This is a significant advantage compared to other cities and the right signal from the city," explains Oliver Mackprang, CEO of MILES.
He promotes carsharing as an important component of mobility for people who decide against owning their own car but still need a car from time to time.
