Miles introduces minibuses into sharing - albeit as diesel

The independent car-sharing provider Miles has expanded its vehicle fleet and is including minibuses in its portfolio for the first time. The approximately 50 9-seaters of the Ford Transit Custom type are still conventional diesel models. This is intended to meet the demand for roomy vehicles for special purposes. The minibus is suitable for all types of trips where multiple people need to be transported, such as family outings, trips with friends, or band excursions, the provider advertises. The minibus will be rentable in all German Miles cities, in the premium category, which is available alongside S (small cars), M (mid-size), and L (vans). For this class, drivers must be at least 23 years old and have held their driver's license for at least one year.

The 9-seater is offered at a price of 1.29 euros per kilometer driven. Alternatively, hourly and daily rates are available for up to 30 days. For example, a day starts at 74 euros, and three days are priced at 184 euros. Prices in car sharing always include the costs for fuel/energy and public parking. For a longer duration, the bus can also be rented on a subscription basis, with a term starting from two months up to 24 months.
