The rental offers from Mercedes-Benz Rent and Mercedes-Benz Van Rental will be consolidated under Mercedes-Benz Vans Mobility GmbH. The subsidiary of Daimler Mobility AG has therefore been renamed to Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility GmbH with its headquarters in Berlin.

Through this consolidation, Mercedes-Benz aims to reorganize the distribution of rental offers together with authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers. The company plans to attract new target groups with short- to mid-term mobility needs for new models through this initiative.

“In the Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility GmbH, the two strong brands for the rental business are brought together. Alongside the exclusive Mercedes-Benz world with our specialized authorized dealers, we also want to offer our customers a unified and seamlessly integrated experience online,” said Agnieszka Kühn, COO of Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility GmbH.

Building on the existing subscription offers from Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility GmbH will also be responsible for the expansion and development of new mobility products in the German market. The subscription model is already offered for the Mercedes-EQ models EQA, EQC, EQV as well as the fully electric Mercedes-Benz vans eVito and eSprinter.

"With flexible usage models such as rental and subscriptions, we meet the individual needs of our customers for both private and commercial use. By consolidating our rental business, we simplify our processes and further expand the rental and mobility offer," says Stefan Sonntag, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mobility GmbH.

The rental service can be accessed at all participating Mercedes-Benz branches and partners at more than 400 locations in Germany. The fleet includes a mix of standard and industry-specific vehicles, including the fully electric models eVito, eVito Tourer, EQV, and eSprinter, the travel and leisure vehicle Marco Polo, as well as numerous rental vehicles with special modifications for passenger transport or goods transportation. These include, for example, refrigerated vehicles, pharmaceutical transporters, or vehicles for the transport of people with limited mobility.
