Mercedes-Benz Bank: Insurance specifically for e-vans
The Mercedes-Benz Bank, in cooperation with insurance partner R+V/KRAVAG, has launched a new insurance offering specifically for electric vans. Customers making the switch to electric mobility will benefit from components tailored to the needs and specifics of electric vehicles. For instance, the comprehensive insurance includes additional coverage for induction charging plates, charging cables, and wall charging stations, disposal costs for the battery, and a new price compensation for vehicle and battery. The insurance coverage also includes components of traditional van insurance, such as coverage for brake, operational, and breakage damage as well as for superstructures. The offer is neither limited by mileage nor restricted to a specific driver group, as further advertised. The eVan insurance is currently available for eSprinter, eVito, and in the future for EQV for both private and commercial customers. It can be concluded either independently when purchasing a vehicle or in combination with a leasing or financing contract, directly at your Mercedes-Benz dealer. Additionally, a 15 percent discount on the insurance premium is granted for the contract duration of the eVan insurance, initially until June 30, 2021.
“With the eVan insurance, we offer our customers a compelling reason to choose an electric vehicle. Thus, we fulfill our objective of facilitating the switch to locally emission-free mobility with tailored products and supporting the introduction of hybrid and electric vehicles from the Daimler Group,” believes Benedikt Schell, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Bank.
In addition to the eVan insurance, further incentives for switching are offered in conjunction with Daimler Mobility. The automobile insurance for electric and plug-in hybrid cars automatically includes the electric protection component, which also comprises specific additional services for electric vehicles. With leasing or subscription models, such as the EQV subscription for up to 24 months, customers could also experience everyday life with an electric vehicle without long-term commitment, the provider further advertises.
