Mazda: Six years or 150,000 kilometers new car warranty

Mazda significantly increases its warranties: The new Mazda six-year new vehicle warranty covers all material and manufacturing defects and covers the costs of repair or replacement of affected components. Only wear parts are excluded. As a classic manufacturer's warranty, it is also included in the new car purchase, and the customer does not need to sign any additional contracts. If the vehicle is resold within the validity period of the Mazda new vehicle warranty, the warranty coverage remains fully intact.

In addition to the generous new vehicle warranty, Mazda offers an unlimited mobility warranty. It provides quick and free assistance in the event of a breakdown or accident. The only requirement is adherence to the maintenance intervals according to the maintenance plan at an authorized Mazda dealer or Mazda service partner. After maintenance, the Mazda mobility warranty is automatically extended until the next scheduled service date. "While most car brands still offer two- to three-year manufacturer warranties, Mazda drivers now benefit from above-average new vehicle protection," explains Bernhard Kaplan, Managing Director of Mazda in Germany, adding:

"This not only gives our customers a secure feeling for up to six years or 150,000 kilometers, but also increases the resale value of the vehicle within this period."

The Mazda new vehicle and mobility warranty is complemented by a twelve-year warranty against rust perforation as well as a three-year paint warranty and warranty against surface corrosion. For electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV), the company additionally offers an eight-year warranty on the high-voltage battery up to a maximum total mileage of 160,000 kilometers.

What does this mean?

The quality of new cars is generally "easily" handed over: Nevertheless, six years or 150,000 kilometers is still a bold move that only a few dare to make. Because: While there are hardly any mechanical issues anymore, there are still problems with software or details like creaking or rattling. Therefore, it still takes some courage for a car manufacturer to offer a six-year warranty.
