A bundle of digital services is promised by MAN Truck & Bus when purchasing a new eTGX or eTGS - for five years at no additional cost, according to the information.

Part of the digital package includes services tailored to e-fleets, such as MAN eManager and MAN SmartRoute, alongside services like Geo, Timed, Compliant M, and Perform. Additionally, the ServiceCare S service and the Driver App are available free of charge.

In addition, the Charge&Go charging service, which includes a charging card, can also be booked free of charge. According to the information, the charging costs will then be invoiced based on consumption.

Especially for E-Trucks

The digital services are tailored to both diesel and electric technology. Existing services have been expanded with eTruck-specific functions, according to reports.

For example, a detailed energy consumption analysis has been added to the Perform service, and functions that enable monitoring of the electric power take-off and the air conditioning, among others, have also been added.

Entirely new solutions developed specifically for electrically operated fleets include eManager M, Charge&Go, and SmartRoute.

eManager

The eManager controls the charging management and preconditioning of electric vehicles. It is also expected to offer further functions for optimizing daily operations, including access to battery-relevant data for vehicle and battery monitoring.

It can also be identified which vehicles are on the route, driving, or stationary. Battery monitoring also includes data on daily charging and discharging processes, air conditioning, outside temperature, and energy consumption.

Most Efficient Route

According to the manufacturer, SmartRoute is intended to support customers in ensuring that the e-trucks are on the most efficient route and can head to the right charging station at the right time.

Based on individual parameters such as battery charge level, remaining range, public charging stations, and traffic conditions, an optimal route is continuously calculated.

If a parameter changes, suitable alternatives are immediately suggested. Relevant information is available in real-time, both for the driver in the vehicle's infotainment system and for the dispatcher on the RIO platform, according to MAN.

Charge&Go

The charging service Charge&Go is an e-truck specific solution for public charging. The corresponding growing network across Europe is designed for commercial vehicles.

Suitable charging stations for the route should be suggested to the dispatcher via SmartRoute. Drivers could view the charging points in the vehicle's infotainment system and in the Driver App. Customers should be able to plan the charging of the vehicles, pay at the charging station, and receive a consolidated invoice at the end of the month.

The manufacturer promises more transparency and consolidated invoices with the fleet manager. In case of issues related to the charging process, Mobile24 Support is available around the clock.

Charge&Go works across brands and is therefore also suitable for mixed fleets. The electric-specific digital services will be available from mid-2025, according to the information provided.
