The new range is designed to provide plenty of space for up to seven adults and their luggage, boasting a range of approximately 700 kilometers – in real terms, it should always be around 500. Lucid places great emphasis on efficiency, both in terms of drivetrain and aerodynamics, with a cw value of 0.243. Therefore, a small battery pack should suffice. The E-SUV supports up to 300 kW of charging power and can be recharged for up to 320 kilometers in around 15 minutes.

Inside, the Gravity, which is 5035 millimeters long, aims to impress with generous and flexible loading areas. The cabin offers spacious seats as well as a second and third row of seats for up to seven people, which can be folded flat to provide a cargo space of over 3.1 cubic meters. Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of the start-up, drove the vehicle off the production line and was delighted:

"I feel so honored to have just driven the first pre-production Lucid Gravity, fresh off the line at our factory in Arizona."

The start of series production is expected at the end of the year. The Gravity is also set to come to Europe. The Gravity is expected to enter the market at a starting price of under 80,000 US dollars before taxes (around 74,000 euros). Reservations for the model are already possible. Pricing and the date for market entry in Europe will be announced later.

What does this mean?

The Gravity is extremely important for Lucid's production numbers, as even in the luxury segment, sedans like the Air are in decline. This is why Lucid urgently needs a "boost" here to further push the more affordable, smaller models.
